Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents

REGENTS

The Board of Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges was created in 1944 by Section 31a, Article 6, of the Oklahoma Constitution. It consists of nine members; eight members are appointed by the Governor by and with the advice of the senate, and the ninth member is the President of the State Board of Agriculture. The Board has the supervision, management, and control of five institutions including Oklahoma State University, Connors State College, Langston University, Northeastern Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, and Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
