MR. TRACY POOLE
Tracy Poole is a Founder and Managing Partner of FortySix Venture Capital in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, where he focuses on investments in scalable early-stage ventures. FortySix
Venture Capital currently manages six distinct VC funds designed to leverage large
networks for superior financial performance. Prior to founding FortySix, Tracy was
an attorney with McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest commercial law firm, where he focused
on M&A, Corporate and Securities transactions, including fund investments and startup
representation. Tracy has served as General Counsel for a $4Billion AUM hedge fund
and was the founder and President of an upstream oil and gas producer which had multiple
successful exits. Previously, while working in the energy trading business for The
Williams Companies, Tracy was credited with structuring and negotiating some of the
largest wholesale power transactions to exist in the energy markets.
As a first-generation college student, Tracy received a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. Tracy is an advisory board member of both the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University and The Spears College of Business School of Entrepreneurship and is a frequent guest lecturer. Tracy is also a member of the Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Governors.
Tracy resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his wife Jennifer, a 1990 Oklahoma State graduate and entrepreneur. Their daughter, Raegan and her husband Archie Bradley reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Scottsdale, Arizona. He was nominated to serve an eight-year term on the Board of Regents for Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges in March of 2025 and confirmed by the Oklahoma Senate in May of 2025. His term expires in 2033.
