Mr. Billy Taylor
Mr. Taylor is a banker/rancher from Muskogee, Oklahoma. He received an Associate Degree from Connors State College and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education Degree from Oklahoma State University. Mr. Taylor began his career in finance in 1981 as an agricultural lender with the Farm Credit System. He joined Armstrong Bank in 1988 as Vice President/Branch Manager of the Warner, Oklahoma location. He continued to advance his career at Armstrong Bank over the course of 18 years and was named President/CEO in 2006. Mr. Taylor served as the CEO of Armstrong Bank and CEO/Vice-Chairman of Ironhorse Financial Group, Inc., until his retirement at the end of 2023. He continues to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Armstrong Bank and Ironhorse Financial Group, Inc., Board of Directors. He also serves on the boards for the United Bankers Life and Casualty Reinsurance Company, the OSU Medical Authority, and the OSU Medical Trust.
In 2019, Mr. Taylor was inducted into the Connors State College Alumni and Friends Hall of Fame and was named to The Journal Record’s Power List for Banking and Finance in 2021. He was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt in 2021 to serve as a member of the A&M Board of Regents and was reappointed in 2023. His current term expires in 2031.
Mr. Taylor resides in Muskogee with his wife, Kristi. They have two children, Kelsey and Kyle, and four granddaughters. In his free time, he enjoys ranching and spending time at Lake Tenkiller with his family when they are not on the ranch.
