Requests by the public for information regarding the activities and business of the Board may be made through written requests complying with the Oklahoma Open Records Act.
The CEO, after consultation with the Board Chair, may grant permission for individuals to appear before the Board at any regularly scheduled Board Meeting in order to provide comments on any issue directly affecting institutions governed by the Board. A written request to appear before the Board, specifying the matters to be presented, the time requested for such presentation, together with any handouts or materials to be made part of the presentation, must be delivered to the CEO not less than five (5) business days prior to the meeting at which permission to appear is sought, so that if granted, the matter can be posted in the appropriate portion of the Board’s agenda. An individual’s comments may not exceed five (5) minutes, with total time for public comment not to exceed thirty (30) minutes. In extraordinary circumstances, the CEO, after consultation with the Board Chair, may elect to modify or waive the prior written request rule.
