The purpose of this chapter is to present those rules of the Board of Regents of Oklahoma State University and the Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges which govern the operations of the various campuses under the supervision and control of the Board of Regents. Such rules include: purchasing and competitive bidding procedures; sale and disposal of surplus property; investment of institutional funds; selection of architectural and engineering firms; construction change orders; substitution of bonds for retainage on construction projects; relationships with educational foundations; possession or use of weapons, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, explosives, and dangerous chemicals; possession or use of alcohol on institutional property; avoidance and control of serious communicable diseases; and other such rules as formally adopted and set forth hereinafter.
