30:1—1—1. Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to present those rules which govern the administrative operations of the Board of Regents of Oklahoma State University and the Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges. This includes the organization of the Board of Regents, the governance philosophy of the Board of Regents, the officers of the Board of Regents and their duties, meetings of the Board of Regents, procedural rules of order employed by the Board of Regents, the committee structure of the Board of Regents, the legal situs of the Board of Regents, procedures for amending the rules of the Board of Regents, the rules of practice and procedure applicable to appellate matters heard by the Board of Regents, the methods whereby the public may obtain information or make submissions or requests to the Board of Regents, and the forms and procedures for the submission, consideration, and disposition of petitions submitted by interested persons requesting the promulgation, amendment, or repeal of a rule.
